This policy explains the cookies and similar local-storage technologies used across Beanstalk Governance Studio's web surfaces: the sign-in/sign-up pages at auth.getbgs.com, the marketing website at getbgs.com, and (where applicable) equivalent local storage used by the Beanstalk Governance Studio desktop application. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers what personal data we collect more broadly.
These are required for the sign-in pages and desktop app to function, and cannot be switched off. They do not require consent under applicable cookie-consent rules because they are necessary to provide the service you've asked for (signing in).
| Name / Purpose | Set By | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication session - keeps you signed in between visits/app launches | Google Firebase (our project) | Short-lived token (1 hour), auto-refreshed while your session is active; cleared on sign-out |
| Admin console session cookie (bgs_admin_session) - keeps an authenticated admin signed into the internal admin console | Beanstalk Web Solutions LLC (first-party) | Session-length; cleared on sign-out |
No consent toggle is shown for these - they are the technical mechanism that lets sign-in work at all, the same way a login form itself isn't optional.
The marketing website at getbgs.com may load third-party marketing or analytics tags - for example, via Google Tag Manager (GTM), which can in turn load tools like Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or LinkedIn Insight Tag. These tags are configured by Beanstalk's own marketing team and can change over time as our marketing stack evolves.
Because the exact marketing/analytics tools in use can change as campaigns and tools change, we do not list specific third-party cookie names here; whatever tool is active at a given time is governed by that tool's own privacy/cookie policy, linked from its provider's website (e.g. Google, Meta, LinkedIn).
In addition to the in-app/on-site controls described above, you can control or delete cookies through your browser's own settings. Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored and delete them individually or entirely. Note that blocking the strictly-necessary session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if our marketing stack changes or new cookie-consent requirements apply. The effective date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.
This Cookie Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, with jurisdiction in St. Louis, Missouri.
